Color Graduated filters are used to paint a portion of the scene, often a sky, without affecting other parts of the scene.
Schneider Optics Gold is a rich warm color. As a solid color it gives an overall warming effect and can be used to create a feeling of late afternoon sunlight. It does good things for skintones and accentuates foliage. Gold graduated filters can be used to enhance an evening sky, or when used inverted they can enhance a landscape, warming cornfields or desert sand, without affecting the sky color.
The #1 value is the lightest value in the series, use it for a subtle effect.
The #2 value is the medium value in the series, use it for a moderate effect.
The #3 value is the strongest value in the series, use it for a bold effect.
Use a Hard Edge when you want a bold transition, or when using long focal length telephoto lenses.
